The City of Meridian does not require a business license; however, it is important that you file necessary forms with the State and obtain any special licenses or permits needed from the State, County, or City.

Register your business name (note: by filling out and returning your legal entity form (articles of incorporation, limited liability company, etc.) with a name on it, you are in effect registering the business name AND the legal status of the business. If you are a sole proprietorship, you need to register only your business name.
We recommend you visit with a City Planner when considering a site for your business. Our planners will help walk you through the process associated with development of that site. The City of Meridian also has an Economic Development Coordinator that is available to answer any questions you might have during this process.
