The Ceremony will begin at 6:30pm, but show up early for a special showing of the cartoon "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" at 6:00pm. Co-Emcees Brad Hoaglun, Meridian CIty Council President, and Carolyn Holly of KTVB Idaho's News Channel 7 will lead a magical evening that will include free donuts from Krispy Kreme, free hot chocolate and coffee from Starbucks, performances from local school choirs, the announcing of the Chirstmas essay contest winners, free carriage rides, a visit from a very special guest and, of course, the lighting of the City's Christmas Tree. The Marines Toys for Tots will also be in attendance so don't forget your unwrapped gift to donate. Please join us to celebrate the start of the Christmas season!
Don't forget to attend two other great Christmas events! The Children's Winterland Festival will be held on Saturday December 1st from 10:00am-3:00pm at the Meridian Community Center. Later that evening at 7:30pm, the Meridian Symphony Orchestra will perform their Christmas Concert in the Centennial High School Performing Arts Center.
