CHRISTMAS BOOKS AT THE LITTLE FREE LIBRARY

 For the entire month of December, the Little Free Library in Meridian City Hall's outdoor plaza will be stocked with Christmas books. Come by to pick up some great Chrstimas reading and you can also leave your own Christmas favorites for another Meridian family to enjoy.

SANTA'S MAILBOX

Do your little ones enjoy writing their letters to Santa each year? Bring them by Meridian City Hall's outdoor plaza and drop them into Santa's Mailbox (located near Broadway Ave.). Every letter delivered to the mailbox by December 16th will receive a personalized response!  In order to receive a reply, letters must have a clearly legible return address... neatness counts!

DOWNTOWN BUSINESS DECORATING CONTEST

Presented by Idaho Independent Bank

Meridian's Downtown Businesses compete for Best in Show, but all Meridian residents are the real winners being treated to a lively and festive downtown during the Christmas season.
  
 

December 1

MERIDIAN CITY HALL CHRISTMAS BAZAAR & BAKE SALE

Come to Meridian City Hall to peruse the creations of several local craft vendors from 9am-4pm. A great Christmas present shopping destination! There will also be a bake sale taking place with proceeds benefitting the Meridian Parks and Recreation Department's Care Enough to Share program, which provides financial assistance to low-income children in Meridian who would like to participate in classes, camps, and activities.

WINTER LIGHTS FUN RUN 

Presented by The Pulse Running & Fitness 

Lead the parade down Main Street! This fun and silly fun run will start immediately before the Winter Lights Parade, ending at the Christmas tree in Generations Plaza. Costumes and ugly sweaters encouraged!

6:30-8:00pm

     

WINTER LIGHTS PARADE AND TREE LIGHTING 

The feature event of Christmas in Meridian! Immediately following the Winter Lights Parade, join Mayor Tammy de Weerd for the lighting of Meridian's Christmas tree in the heart of Generations Plaza (corner of Main Street and Idaho Avenue in downtown Meridian)!

8:00am-9:00pm

     

HOLIDAY CLASSIC VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT

This is a full-day tournament at Heritage Middle School with all proceeds going toward purchasing holiday gifts for less fortunate children in Meridian. Get a group of friends together and enjoy a day of competition and fellowship.

CHILDREN'S WINTERLAND FESTIVAL 

Presented by All American Insurance

Bring your kids to this winter-themed festival in the new Meridian Boys & Girls Club Gymnasium for pictures with Santa, cookie decorating, toy building, games, and much more! Entry fee at the door is just a cash or canned food donation to the Meridian Food Bank!

MERIDIAN SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA CHRISTMAS CONCERT

 The annual Meridian Symphony Orchestra Christmas Concert is a wonderful family event with Christmas favorites, a sing-a-long and Santa.
