Mayor - Tammy de Weerd
 Tammy de Weerd, a third-generation Idahoan, is currently serving her second four-year term as the Mayor of Meridian, Idaho. She became Mayor in January of 2004 and was re-elected to her current term in November of 2007. She has served the community of Meridian in a variety of volunteer and elected capacities for more than 15 years, including six years on the Meridian Parks & Recreation Commission, two years on the Planning & Zoning Commission, and a full term on the Meridian City Council.She currently participates on nearly 30 local and regional boards, committees, and councils and has been recognized for her vision and coalition-building skills which have resulted in a variety of active partnerships between government and the private sector.
Tammy and her husband Jan have four children.
