The Meridian Fire Department is offering free smoke alarms to qualifying residence in Meridian.  Project S.A.F.E. is designed to reduce fire related injuries and deaths by installing smoke alarms in privately-owned homes free of charge. The program is funded by a grant provided by the US Department of Homeland Security and the City of Meridian. Alarms will be installed by community volunteers and Meridian Fire employees.
