Full-Time Firefighter Employment Requirements

Meridian Fire Department currently does not have any full-time Firefighter positions open at this time.  Please check back at a later date.  When jobs are available, they will be posted to the web site with instructions on how to apply.

You must be at least 18 years of age and a High School graduate or GED Equivalent to be hired on with the Meridian Fire Department.  Applicant must have a valid, insurable drivers license.  You must go through the application process and pass a physical agility test.  EMT-Basic Certification is a minimum requirement.  Higher certifications may be required depending on position available.  Pre-employment drug screening, background checks and fingerprinting are also involved in the hiring process.

Part-Time On-Call Firefighter Employment Requirements
