The Meridian Fire Department works with Dr. Mike Ross, MFD Medical Director, as well as allied agencies to provide a progressive pre-hospital environment. We are heavily involved in local and state EMS issues and strive to stay current in new technologies and treatments that have been proven effective. MFD was the first department in the State of Idaho to impliment a carbon monoxide protocol using the RAD57 CO oximeter device. We are currently working to develop a pre-hospital induced hypothermic therapy protocl, working with allied agencies and hospital representatives.
