Station Tours
Meridian Fire Department offers station tours to local area child care facilities, school or community groups who are interested in learning about fire prevention and safety. In order to schedule tours of the fire station, call our Public Educator at 884-0597 or Fire Station One at 888-1234 and we will work with your organization to coordinate a time for a tour two weeks after your request. It is important for you to know that you will be visiting an active fire station. The crews are subject to emergency response and may be out of the station on an emergency at the time of your scheduled tour. If this should happen you can either call to reschedule the tour, or wait until the crews return to the station. An adequate number of chaperones must be present during the tour to quickly clear children from the fire engine/truck if there is an emergency. Should an emergency occur while you are on a tour; you will be directed to evacuate the station without delay.
