Workforce Needs

Succeeding in today's business environment also requires constant knowledge and professional association. With that in mind, local business people have been coming together twice a year at Meridian City Hall for Meridian Business Day — the community’s largest networking event designed to help Treasure Valley businesses network, socialize and develop positive business relationships.  Started in May 2009, Meridian Business Day continues to draw audiences in the hundreds, as well as keynote speakers and workshop leaders from businesses of all types and sizes eager to present motivating addresses and informational workshops.

Turning ideas into businesses is what the Downtown Ventures Lab will help do.  This collaboration between the City, the Chamber of Commerce, and the West Ada School District will bring a focus on engaging high school students and youth groups in entrepreneurial activities.  With a focus geared towards accelerating the ideas of early stage technology companies and growing them in our downtown, the Ventures Lab is creating creative culture and jobs which make a city vibrant.
