Meridian Teens Host Meridian Candidate Forum
Public Encouraged to Come Watch and Listen as Candidates Share their thoughts on Meridian
Meridian, ID – (November 2, 2011) – The Meridian Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council (MYAC) will be hosting a Mayoral and City Council Candidate Forum on November 7, 2011, at 7 p.m. in the Mountain View High School auditorium. The candidate forum will be moderated by local radio host Nate Shelman.
The public is invited to attend this free event to hear from the various Mayoral and City Council candidates. This will be the last opportunity to have questions asked and answered before the election held on November 8, 2011.
“The candidate forum is just one of many ways MYAC members are engaged in local government issues in their service to Meridian,” said Meridian City Council Vice-Chairman Brad Hoaglun. “While many of the members are under the age of 18, they are still active and involved in working for a better community.”
Questions for the forum can be submitted in advance on the MYAC Facebook page (Facebook.com/MeridianMYAC) or at the event. For further information contact Allison Kaptein at Meridian Parks and Recreation at 888-3579.
