City Council Hearing – February 19, 2008
In November, 2007, the Meridian Planning & Zoning Commission forwarded a recommendation to the Meridian City Councilto approve the propesed changes to the City's Future Land Use Map. The Commission recommended some revisions to the Revised Staff Response, and those changes will considered at the City Council hearing.Click here to view the future land use recommended for approval by the Planning & Zoning Commission.
At the February 19, 2008 hearing, staff recommended minor modifications to the land use map forwarded by the Planning & Zoning Commission in November. Please click the links below to view the modified map and a memo explaining the changes:

The City Council hearing for this application was previously scheduled for February 5, 2008. Due to an unforeseen scheduling change, however, a new date is now set. City Council will conduct a hearing for the South Meridian CPA on February 19, 2008. Please check back for an updated staff report and other support materials closer to the rescheduled hearing date.

The Meridian Planning Department conducted a public open house on May 31, 2007 to present and request feedback on the Staff Response Land Use Map. The purpose of the meeting was to receive guidance from affected stakeholders about what changes should be made to the proposed land uses prior to the November 1, 2007 hearing.
UPDATE - April 20, 2007:
At the April 19, 2007 Public Hearing the Meridian Planning & Zoning Commission continued the South Meridian Comprehensive Plan Amendment until November 1, 2007. The reasons for continuing the amendment are outlined in the following memo from Planning Staff to the Planning & Zoning Commission:
