Community Development Block Grant Program
The City of Meridian is a designated entitlement community by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Developement (HUD). This designation allows the City to receive funds from HUD's Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. The purpose of the Program is to develop viable urban communities by providing decent housing and a suitable living environment, and expand economic opportunities, especially for low-and -moderate income individuals and families.
Funding Application for Program Year 2013 is Now Available
The City of Meridian has intiated the planning process for the upcoming CDBG Program Year (October 1, 2013-September 30, 2014). Organizations interested in applying for funding should contact Lori Den Hartog, the CDBG administrator, to discuss project or program eligibility. The application for funding can be accessed via the link below and is due by May 9, 2013.
2012-2016 Consolidated Plan
The City of Meridian adopted the 2012-2016 Consolidated Plan in August 2012. Based on an analysis of current conditions and input from the citizens of Meridian, this document sets the spending priorities for the City of Meridian's Community Development Block Grant funds for the next five years. The City has started implementing the plan based on the 2012 Action Plan which identifies the projects for the program year which will began on October 1, 2012.
