Long Range Planning

Responsibilities in long range planning include updating the City's Comprehensive Plan, preparing specific area plans, coordinating transportation planning, and evaluating applications to amend the Comprehensive Plan and the text of the Zoning Ordinance.

Preparation and amendment of the Comprehensive Plan or specific area plans includes an extensive process of citizen involvement which may include formation of steering committees and conducting open houses.
