Grass Recycling

Curbside grass and leaf recycling is an optional additional recycling service for Meridian residents.

For an additional fee ($8.74 per month), you will be provided with a separate 95-gallon yard debris cart for your grass clippings. Please contact Republic Services at 208-345-1265 to set up this service.

This service will keep the grass out of the landfill and instead, those clippings will be transported to a silage pit in Ada County where they will be reused beneficially for agricultural purposes.

Grass Cart Collection Timeframes

This cart shifts from grass to leaf-only recycling and serves as an extra trash cart. Timeframes are listed below. 

• Grass: April 1 - October 31
• Leaves: November 1 - November 30
• Additional trash: December 1 - March 31

• Branches
• Food scraps
• Pet waste
• Plastic bags
