Cans for Cash City Recycling Challenge
Meridian Cans for Cash Results
The City
of Meridian again
participated in the nationwide Cans for Cash City Recycling Challenge. The Challenge lasted two weeks, from October
1 – 31, 2007.
Meridian residents and businesses collected
5,074 pounds of aluminum beverage cans during the Challenge!
Meridian
competed against cities of similar size nationwide for a $5,000 award that can
be applied toward encouraging recycling and recycling education programs. Winning cities will be announced in January
2008.
