Household Hazardous Waste


Products labeled Danger, Warning, or Caution all contain hazardous chemicals and cannot be thrown away in your trash.


Meridian residents can drop off household hazardous waste free of charge every Monday (except major holidays) between 12:00 noon and 7:00 P.M. in the SSC parking lot, 2130 W. Franklin Road (between Linder and Ten Mile).

Pool/Spa Chemicals

Television Sets

Computer Monitors

Mercury Fever Thermometers

Mercury Thermostats

Lawn & Garden Chemicals

Aerosols

Insecticides

Pesticides

Old Paint

Wood Stains

Paint Thinners

Solvents

Old Gasoline

Antifreeze

Please bring material to the collection location in containers that can be left at the collection point.


Do not leave items if collection vehicle and personnel are not present.


Items that cannot be dropped off include:

Ammunition

Explosives

Radioactive Material

Biological Waste

Appliances

Tires

Large Propane Cylinders (over 5 gal.)


Homebound Program

The Household Hazardous Waste Homebound Program offers convenient at-home collection of household hazardous waste to elderly and physically challenged residents who are unable to transport their household hazardous waste to an established collection site.


This service is available free to all Ada County residents aged 18 and over who have a physical limitation or medical condition that prevents them from driving and do not have access to assistance from others to transport their hazardous waste to an established collection site.
