Household Hazardous Waste
 
Household hazardous waste consists of items such as pesticides, cleaning supplies, paint and solvents, used motor oil, antifreeze, and old gasoline.  Products labeled Danger, Warning, or Caution all contain hazardous chemicals and are NOT to be put into the City sewer lines!  
 

Meridian residents can drop off household hazardous waste free of charge every Monday between 12:00 noon and 7:00 P.M. in the Sanitary Services Co. parking lot, 2130 W. Franklin Road (between Linder and Ten Mile). 

 
Items that can be dropped off include: used motor oil, printer cartridges (inkjet and laser jet), pool/spa chemicals, antifreeze, old gasoline, batteries, solvents, cell phones, paint thinners, wood stains, old paint, pesticides, insecticides, garden chemicals, aerosols, household cleaners, fluorescent light tubes, computer monitors, television sets, mercury thermostats, and mercury fever thermometers.  
 
Please bring material to the collection location in containers that can be left at the collection point.
 
Materials that CANNOT be dropped off include: ammunition, explosives, radioactive material, biological waste, medical waste, appliances, tires, and large (over 5 gallon) propane cylinders.
